Cristiano Ronaldo, “happy” in Saudi Arabia, quiere que otros jugadores se unan a él

(CNN) — Cristiano Ronaldo acknowledges we don’t hope to catch a break with Al Nassr’s vacant hands, but the Portuguese delantero says he is happy in Saudi Arabia and hopes more big players join the league for the upcoming campaign.

Ronaldo signed a contract with Al Nassr that the media estimated at more than 200 million euros ($220.16 million), and started enero.

Marcó scored 14 goals in 16 starts, but it wasn’t enough to help his side clinch the Saudi Pro League (SPL) title, while Al Nassr reached second place, to Al Ittihad.

The 38-year-old, who missed the final matchday with injury, said the league was very competitive but had plenty of opportunity for growth.

“Tenemos muy buenos equipos, muy buenos jugadores árabes, ma las infraestructuras teneren que jorar un poco más.

“Pero soy feliz aquí, quiero seguer aquí, segueré aquí”.

Ronaldo said he has adapted to life in the club, it hasn’t had much difference with his stage in Europe, he has played in elite teams such as Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid.

The Portuguese delantero has had a hard time adjusting to life in a new country.

“In Europe we go more by morning and here we go by late, or by night. When Ramadán fills, we go by 10 at night. Es muy extraño”, añadió.
After Ronaldo’s league, he won other major players with the Saudi league, and Lionel Messi received a formal offer to join Al-Hilal next time.

Karim Benzema, former teammate of Ronaldo y Balón de Oro, has received an offer of over 100 million euros from Al Ittihad.

“Come, big players and big numbers, young players, ‘old players’, they are very welcome”, said Ronaldo.

“If this happens, the league will improve a bit. The edad is not important.”
